TBCTV, Somerset House, London

03 – 07 Oct 2018

I am showing my video work Man from below TV in the TBCTV exhibition.

Transforming Somerset House’s Lancaster Rooms into a mock TV studio, TBCTV presents a dynamic and evolving programme of new live theatre and film screenings, including a new short play from award-winning Welsh playwright and screenwriter, Tim Price.

The diverse programme will feature a short film projected each hour from a carefully curated selection of artists including Tamy Ben-Tor, Sol Calero & Dafna Maimon, Brian Dewan, Andy Holden, Kalup Linzy, Rachel Maclean, Heather Phillipson, Mary Reid Kelley, Jennet Thomas and Bedwyr Williams.

Theatre performances include newly commissioned plays Beginning to End, by Studios resident Mel Brimfield, and Elevenses, by Tim Price: both performances starring Arthur Darvill and Inès De Clerq. For more information and to buy tickets see below.

Further works will appear from the successful applicants of the TBCTV open call and full details of the programme will be available in the bespoke publication TBCTV Times. In the TBCTV reception area, visitors can experience the shifting nature of television media with multiple screens showing a range of moving image work including show reels, music videos, animations, as well as enjoy a selection of satirical magazines exploring celebrity culture.

TBCTV is supported by the Case Foundation and the Art Fund.
